Yeah, the fat jokes make me uncomfortable, because even though it's so common for fat comedians to make fun of themselves, I didn't like it coming from everyone else. And the constant gay jokes were nauseating. I think I've gotten so into the habit of watching stuff that doesn't rely on that kind of humor that it really catches me off guard when I do hear it.Traceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16772379845428202751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6504469498403243043.post-39530334299582261842008-08-23T19:20:00.000-04:002008-08-23T19:20:00.000-04:00Hey! So, I fell asleep on the couch last night during The Daily Show and awoke in the midst of this Bob Saget roast. I admit that I laughed at some of it, but I had an uncomfortable feeling about the fat and gay jokes as well. I think that Jeff Garlin has sort of made himself the "fat guy" (or "fat fuck", if you will) in this particular comedy circle, so I expected those jokes...but calling Saget gay to get a cheap laugh made me feel weird.

Maybe I'm just new to this and super-sensitive, but this boys' club, locker room homophobia is a little much for me.

I will admit that Cloris Leachman is awesome. Who doesn't secretly want to make out with John Stamos?Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18225830688436475379noreply@blogger.com
