I've had this open in a tab for a week at work so I'd remember to watch it, and boy, am I glad I finally did. It's amazing how the new "Degrassi"s, as horrible as they are, are actually 100 times better than the old ones.
If by "horrible", you actually mean "awesome", then yes.
Don't their accents somehow seem way thicker on the old show?
