"Unleash your wild side."

AdFreak reports that this U.K. liqueur ad has been banned due to complaints that it "linked drinking to seduction and sexual success":

Photobucket

The caption reads: "Unleash your wild side. Everyone has a wild side. Unleash yours with Wild Africa Cream."

What's interesting to me, though, is that no one's talking about how often black women are depicted as wild animals in advertising.

Holy CRAP. I'm ashamed to say I've never before noticed how often magazines and ads portray black women as animals. It's really disgusting, now that I think of it.

I've seen so many other examples of this, but couldn't find them online.

Other interesting thing is: this liquor is basically just Bailey's in a different wrapping. There's nothing African nor wild about it. It's the same kind of stuff that usually marketed as Irish Cream Liquor. Although I do love the look of the bottle (I have a fancy for animal prints - also, the bottle is fuzzy YAY!) the name and the ad really is just blatant nonsense and neatly packaged racism.

Wait, seriously? What do all other liquor ads do, then?

I would not stop it or do something if it calls for the law. I have here something very funny
and it works best for gags and parties. This is the new fake ultrasound design from fakeababy. It is an amazing stuff that will entertain your guest.
