I'm so sick of seeing the same stories play out in the same ways over and over without ever switching up the genders in any way.
I am simply DYING to see:
-A male character who smolders with jealousy of one of his male friends and begins to dress like him, gets his hair cut like him, and eventually tries to kill him.
-A male character who is seduced by one of his female college professors and actually feels threatened and victimized by it.
-A female character who gets trapped in an elevator with a pregnant woman, freaks out, helps deliver the baby, and is commended for her heroic act.
Think it'll ever happen?

Season 1 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer had an episode in which Xander is held captive by his science teacher (who is actually a huge bug, but that's not really the issue here). I'd say that's the closest you're going to get to turning this trope on its head.
Okay, the one about the "male character smoldering with jealousy" made me laugh out loud! :-)
Let's starting writing!!! Or ask Diablo Cody to help us out, since she's probably the one most likely to do it. :)
these are things i would also love to see:)
I'm with Courts, let's start writing!
And yeah, I think we'll see them eventually, and when we do, we have to support them so they'll make more.
Yeah, the first scenario is really funny to imagine. Do you think we could write that?
We could totally write it, but would people find it believable?
Me too will love to watch them :) it will be fun then :)but it's a tv show and it's what sells.
watch 90210
The first one was not used in a soap, but in a movie - The Talented Mr Ripley.
Also an old housemate did it to me, luckily I got out before she tried to kill me, but it was a close shave.
Hey, good call. I forgot all about that movie. In soap-type dramas, this seems to happen ALL the time with women.
these are things i would also love to see:)
